The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice kicked off its fifth season Wednesday night with flamenco and popular Spanish songs. The highlight of the season – opera Barber of Seville by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini, based on the French comedy Le Barbier de Séville, written by Pierre de Beaumarchais – will take place this Saturday, August 2 at 8 pm at the Parish Field.
